9 Must Have Food Finds From Whole Foods

Planning a trip to Whole Foods?

Here are 9 of my favorite products that are hard to find but are always in stock at Whole Foods!

  1. Bilinski’s Chicken Sausage: These are the best chicken sausage I’ve ever had– both from a taste perspective, but even more impressively, from a nutrition perspective. Not only are all the ingredients organic, but the calories and fat are nearly half of other comparable brands! I love to have two of these with grilled peppers and onions in a Joseph’s Lavash wrap for a quick week night dinner!

  2. Eat Smart Sweets: Candy with 28 grams of fiber per serving, sweetened with stevia and only 90 calories? Sign me up! You can use the code “AlixTuroff” for a discount on your order!

  3. Waterloo Sparkling Water: I love sparkling water when I’m bored of flat water or I want a little flavor without a lot of sugar. The watermelon flavor is so delicious with fresh cucumber slices and the coconut goes so well with a little vodka and a splash of pineapple juice!

  4. GG Crackers: These high fiber crackers are a “vehicle for toppings”. What does that mean? They kind of taste like cardboard on their own but you can top them with a spread (like hummus, guacamole, cream cheese, etc) and they become a nice little snack with 4 grams of fiber per cracker!

  5. Cucina Antica Sauce: I’m a long time fan of Cucina Antica sauces (both the Tomato Basil and Vodka sauce). They’re made with fresh ingredients and have very little sugar and added fat. I love using this jarred sauce to make pizza, zucchini noodles or any Italian dish because the ingredients are all things I would use in my own kitchen but without having to do any of the work!

  6. Siete Foods Tortilla Chips: These are just ADDICTING. Nutritionally, they’re pretty similar to traditional tortilla chips so I don’t want to make it sound like these are a “free food”… BUT… they are completely grain and gluten free and once you try the “Fuego” flavor, you’re going to be hooked.

  7. Lily’s Sweets: I love Lily’s Stevia sweetened chocolate chips and also the chocolate bars! I always have at least one Lily’s chocolate bar in my fridge (trust me on this!) and I always have the chocolate chips on hand for adding to greek yogurt, ricotta cheese, pancakes, baked goods etc.

  8. 365 Organic Extra Virgin Oil Spray: Gone are the days when our only option for non-stick cooking spray was Pam with a bunch of questionable ingredients. There are a few companies that make a propellant-free cooking spray (Spectrum, Pompeiian, Chosen Foods, etc) and they’re all great– but when at Whole Foods, I always go for the 365 brand since it tends to be the most cost effective! Look for a cooking spray where the only ingredient is the actual oil (no soy lecithin or propellants).

  9. Natural Vitality Calm Powder: This was recommended to me as “Natural Xanax”. I buy the Raspberry Lemonade flavor and mix it with water before bed and it’s amazing how well it works. It’s a Magnesium Citrate supplement which has been shown to help reduce stress and anxiety.
