Chicken Pizza Crust

This recipe is a total GAME CHANGER and I’m not being overly dramatic. Seriously, move over cauliflower pizza because there’s a new low carb pizza swap in town and it’s LEGIT.

It sounds SO gross and weird but whatever, we do alot of weird things for the sake of our health and bodies, including but not limited to:

  • Pouring hot wax on our bodies and ripping it off

  • Sticking needles into our lips

  • Shoving our feet into 6 inch heels

I could go on…

Don’t be weirded out by the fact that this is a pizza crust made of chicken. Guys, it’s basically chicken parmesan… but healthy!

If you follow me on instagram, you may have followed along as I experimented with this strange concoction and I have to say, I was even surprised at how freaking good this came out.

This was my first time making it and this time, I made a traditional margherita style pizza but I already have dreams of turning this into:

  • BBQ Chicken Pizza (is chicken on chicken too much?)

  • White Truffle Pizza

  • Salad pizza! (It’s basically like the reverse of chicken paillard)

OMG I need to stop now because I need to go get another slice.

Chicken Pizza Crust

Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb 98% Fat Free Ground Chicken Breast

  • 1 egg

  • 1/2 cup Reduced Fat Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

  • Salt and Pepper to Taste

  • Seasoning: This will vary based on the type of pizza you’re making. For a traditional pizza, use Italian seasoning. For a BBQ Chicken pizza, use paprika, garlic & onion powder, etc.

Directions:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees F.

  2. Line a rectangular sheet pan with parchment paper.

  3. In a bowl, combine ground chicken, egg, cheese and salt and pepper and optional seasonings.

  4. Transfer chicken mixture to sheet pan and press down to form a thin crust. Press chicken as thin as you can without creating holes in the crust.

  5. Bake for ~15-20 minutes until chicken begins to brown.

  6. Remove crust from oven and add desired topppings. Return to oven to melt cheese (if desired)
