Growing up as a competitive athlete, I was exposed to the importance of nutrition at a very young age. I have had my fair share of failed attempts at dieting, and I left each one with feelings of fear, self-doubt, and anxiety surrounding my food choices. While each diet I tried was a learning experience, none of them left me with habits that I could stick with long-term. I was always striving for perfection, which made the many fun parts of life feel not so enjoyable (college, celebrations, vacations, dating to name a few).
Throughout my undergraduate and graduate studies, dietetic internship, and work in the field as a Registered Dietitian, I have found my sustainable, flexible approach toward nutrition and overall health, while healing my relationship with food along the way.
I’m here to help you find that too, by getting back to the basics and unpacking the science behind the foods we eat! I want to share with you what you can add to your plate, not what you should be taking away. You can eat the foods you love, exercise in ways you enjoy, and feel confident in your own skin!
