Pitaya Dragonfruit Collagen Smoothie

After spending 3 weeks in Thailand on my honeymoon in 2017, I fell in love with Pitaya. Pitaya actually originated in Central America and was then brought to Asia where it goes by “dragonfruit”.

Here’s the thing, though. Raw dragonfruit is SO pretty BUT it doesn’t really taste like much on it’s own. I would go down to the breakfast buffet (I highly recommend the W Koh Samui, BTW) and admire it but it kind of tastes like watered down watermelon… does that make sense?

Anyway, the PitayaPlus Dragonfruit smoothie packs are SO good. I think because there’s so much dragonfruit concentrated that it just has this great flavor and mixes so well with other fruits.

I personally really like the PitayaPlus smoothie packs because they don’t add sugar. Make sure you read the label before you buy it! You can find it in most stores now in the freezer section near the frozen fruit!

I jazzed it up and added some extra protein with Further Foods collagen peptides and Siggi’s yogurt. I threw some raspberries and chia seeds in there too for extra fiber. This was the perfect post-workout smoothie!
